Brad Thor, I blame you for changing my life. (For the better)

First those of you who don’t know me, I must confess I’m a huge Brad Thor fan.

  • Seriously, I blame you for two to three sleepless nights a year, yes your books are that good.
  • For getting me to start writing again
  • For me finishing my manuscript
  • For getting me on a plane for the first time in three years
    • I had a gift to deliver so my husband David takes some of the blame for this one
  • For getting me and countless other Americans to open our eyes and take a serious look at DC
  • For evenings spent at the keyboard vs being out of my writing hide.
  • For getting me to wake up and realize being on wheels wasn’t the end just a new chapter in my life.
    • That was the first of your signings i attended.
  • For forcing me to research, seriously research what I was putting in my manuscript.
    • You are an excellent example of this.
  • For me nagging friends and soldiers about details for my novels, yes I’m writing a thriller.
    • You said write what you read.
  • Adding a new item to my bucket list: I want to have dinner with you and talk.
    • David is serious in asking what beer you want.
      • Just give him a months notice and it can be on tap at the house.

In all seriousness none of these things is a bad thing. I wanted to thank you for all of them. You have changed my life for the better. You’ve been amazing.

The gift for those who are interested was an American Flag sent to me, for Brad from my husband Davids deployed location. Here’s a link to the video, it left Brad Thor speechless.
